Been a really busy period for the 'Rapids', playing to really busy crowds in a frenetic schedule that has been a really busy period. Wow! We will need to just hang out now and chew the fat, tune back up our guitar, tighten our drums skins, check all the cables and leads, check the bass string, check the van is ok with its leads, and then just hang out. Feb 19 someone asked what we will be doing today to prepare for tonite. well, we will be 'chill-axing' in the band van, having sing songs and reminiscing about all the concerts and gigs we have done. we will laugh, and then we will each draw up our dream set list and maybe discuss that for a couple of hours over cognac or eggnog, before setting off to get to the venue early to discuss stage moves and talk about facial expressions and the history of rock. It happens.
...Its just so exciting to play gigs in the 'Big Smoke', where other bands throughout the history of bands have also played. Wow! And we play tonite at the fightings cocks. You may have heard already, but if you haven't heard already, there is a fake band going around the southend area that are calling themselves eight rounds rapid. You couldn't make it up. They wear black suits and play blues music wrong, BUT, the lead singer can't sing at all. It's really embarrassing to think that this could be happening, but if you do go to a gig in the area where we are on the bill, and someone isn't singing properly, then just don't clap or betray any inte
